On this 5 days Kidepo Valley Uganda wildlife safari experience, you will explore one of Uganda’s finest safari destination. Note: On your day of arrival for this Uganda safari to Kidepo valley national park, you will be warmly received by our guide at Entebbe International Airport and be transferred to your overnight accommodation in Kampala. Day 01: Transfer from Kampala north-wards to Kitgum [Approx. 7hours drive]
Start-off this Uganda safari with an early breakfast at your overnight accommodation in Kampala, then transfer on a long drive north of the country to Kitgum through the scenic Kampala-Gulu highway, past Kafu River and Karuma Falls. You will have a lunch break en-route, and later continue to Kitgum where you arrive in the evening at your booked hotel for overnight. Meal Plan: Half Board. Overnight: Boma Hotel
Day 02: Depart Kitgum to Kidepo Valley National Park [Approximately 3 hours’ drive]
Leave Kitgum after breakfast, and continue further north to Kidepo valley national park where you arrive in the afternoon hours. Check-in at the reserved accommodation and after lunch transfer for an afternoon game drive through the park exploring the Narus valley for superb view of the wildlife that congregates here. Expect to see the big game, available are; the Rothschild’s Giraffes, Cape Buffalos, Bushbucks, Caracel, Burchells Zebra and others.
Meal Plan: Full Board. Overnight: Apoka Game lodge (Premium) or Adere Safari lodge (Luxury) or Kidepo Savanna lodge (Midrange and Basic).
Day 03: Game viewing, cultural encounter and Morungole hike
Have an early breakfast, today you will explore the park diversity including a taste of the Karamojong culture. Leave the lodge with packed lunch boxes, take part in a morning game drive looking out for more game to add on your safari checklist. You later have a taste of the African culture when you visit Karamojong homesteads where you explore the treasures of this cultural group.
In the late afternoon, you go for an adventurous hike to the Morungole ranges-a sacred home of the mysterious Ike people; the summit command beautiful view of the park and Karamojong plains. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 04: Game encounter around Apoka and Transfer to Gulu.
Today after breakfast, go for an early game viewing expedition on a foot safari around Apoka for a close range encounter of the wildlife that congregates here. This presents you opportune moments to see Zebras, Reedbucks, Buffalos and Elephants among others.
Return to the lodge in the midmorning hours, checkout with your lunch boxes and transfer to Gulu where you would spend your night at the hotel. Meal Plan: Full Board. Overnight: Acholi Inn hotel (Luxury) or Boma hotel (midrange-basic).
Day 05: Travel to Kampala or Entebbe airport [Approx. 7 hours drive]
Sign off this Uganda safari to Kidepo valley with an early breakfast, and later leave for Kampala with a detour at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola, where you will track the White Rhinos; a member of Africa’s Big Five. You will have your lunch here and continue to Kampala, drop-off at the hotel or at the airport for your flight. Meal Plan: Breakfast and Lunch. End of Safari
