Overview:
This 4 days hiking Mount Elgon and Sipi Falls is a classic taste of adventure safari in Uganda, that lets you discover one of Uganda’s oldest physical features, first erupting over 20 million years ago. Mount Elgon is crowned by one of the world’s largest caldera, covering an area of 40km2 and about 8km diameter. On this adventure tour to Elgon, there is hiking to Wagagai peak the country’s second highest at 4321m, hiking to the magnificent Sipi falls just outside the park, where trails let you encounter the interesting communities and visits to caves left by moving lava.
This part of the country has remarkable scenery, which offers travellers flawless photography safaris in Africa. The summits of the mountain and the sipi falls have an outstanding backdrop. These two sites make eastern Uganda a lovely destination /region for adventure safaris in Uganda.

Note: On your day of arrival, you will be met and received by our guide at Entebbe International Airport and be transferred to your overnight accommodation in Kampala. [Optional: a complementary city tour can be done depending on your time of arrival and how you may be feeling-lots of interesting site to discover]. Day 01: Transfer to Mbale onward to Mount Elgon [Approximately 5hours]
After breakfast, you will be met by your guide at the overnight accommodation; embark on the journey to the eastern part of Uganda via Jinja; a route rewarding you with magnificent view of the luxuriant Mabira rainforest, sugar plantations and river Nile- the world’s longest. Continue with the journey arriving in Mbale for lunch, afterwards proceed to Sipi and check-in at the Rest camp or lodge on arrival which gives a stunning view of the falls. Relax at your overnight accommodation for the next day Uganda safari adventure.

Day 02: Hiking Mount Elgon's Wagagai peak (4321M)
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters where you meet with the ranger guide, receive briefing and later partake in quite a challenging, but exciting hiking activity to Mount Elgon's Wagagai summit, through the Sasa or Sipi trail with the ranger. Hike past the enchanting slopes leading you through the dense Bamboo forests. Hiking can last through the entire day, therefore a picnic lunch may be taken. Return to the lodge afterwards for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 03: Hiking the Sipi falls and community walk
You will have a cultural encounter as you walk through coffee villages and farmyards, tracing for the story of coffee (Arabica) from farm to cup. Move past the interesting landscapes, hiking to the top of the astonishing Sipi Falls. Holdback at the top, with your cameras and take in the pleasant views of Kapchorwa and surrounding areas. Day 04: Return to Kampala via Jinja for Source of the Nile Cruise [Approx. 5 hour drive]
After an early breakfast, checkout and head to Jinja where you will wrap-up this hiking adventure Uganda safari with a breathtaking boat cruise at the source of the Mighty River Nile. Afterwards, have lunch here and then embark on your drive to Kampala where you arrive in the evening, then be transferred to the airport for your flight.
