Overview:
The Gorilla habituation experience safari is one of the most fascinating African wildlife and Uganda safari encounter. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park; is one of Uganda’s UNESCO world heritage sites at an area of about 321 Square Kilometers. The park is a world class tourist destination located in Southwestern Uganda sheltering almost half of the world’s remaining Mountain Gorillas.
These primates are an endangered species and members of the world’s Great Apes, with a population estimate of more than 1000 individuals remaining in the wilds. Gorilla tracking and mountain gorilla habituation experience Uganda safaris are forms of tourism in Bwindi that ensure stupendous visitor experience in the park.
On this experiential habituation safari in Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you follow habituators and researchers on a full day habituation process of the gorillas as they monitor them through their daily activity and habituating them to get used to human presence. The mountain gorilla habituation experience gives you ample time to watch them (over 4 hours in their presence) not common to a visitor on a normal Gorilla tracking safari who is allowed only 1 hour with these primates.

Note: This gorilla habituation Uganda safari starts with your day of arrival, you will be met and received by our guide at Entebbe International Airport and be transferred to your overnight accommodation in Kampala. A complementary city tour can be done depending on your time of arrival and how you may be feeling. Day 01. Departure from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park [Approximately 9hours]
Begin with a hearty breakfast at your overnight accommodation, meet with your guide here and later embark on a drive to the southwestern part of the country. On this drive you breakoff en-route in Kayabwe at the Equator-00 latitude for a simple trip and snap shots; continue with the journey and breakoff again in Mbarara for Lunch. Proceed with the beautiful drive in this lush countryside through the famous terraced highlands of Kigezi as you approach the park. On arrival, head to the lodge, check-in for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 02: Gorilla Habituation Safari Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Have breakfast very early enough at the lodge, leave with your lunch boxes and transfer to the park quarters where the Gorilla habituation activity sets off from. After briefing, you enter the forest with the researchers and habituators on their habituation process of the gorillas. Gorilla habituation experience gives you chance to follow and see the Gorillas through their daily activities from de-nesting until they set their nests.
This is a full day activity and the terrain is quite challenging therefore, reasonable level of fitness is required; a picnic lunch will be enjoyed. The activity gives you ample time to study and understand the behaviors of the Gorillas, it is an epic and premier wildlife encounter. Retire for dinner and the night at the lodge.

Day 03: Travel back to Kampala
Start with breakfast at the lodge, checkout and we later embark on a drive through the pleasant southwestern part of Uganda back to Kampala and be dropped off at the hotel or at Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home. On this last day of your gorilla habituation Uganda safari, back to Kampala, you will visit Igongo Cultural museum in Mbarara for a palate of the Ankole-African culture. It is at the Country Hotel and cultural center you will have your lunch. Meal Plan: Breakfast and Lunch. End of Safari
