With nearly half of the world’s Mountain Gorillas (about 450 individuals) the gorilla trekking park is a world class safari destination recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Gorilla habituation experience is one of the best Uganda safaris -an astounding wildlife experience where you get to be behind the scene process of getting the gorillas used to human presence.

Note: On your day of arrival for this gorilla habituation and game viewing wildlife safari, you will be met and received by our guide at Entebbe International Airport and be transferred to your overnight accommodation in Kampala. A complementary city tour can be done depending on your time of arrival and how you may be feeling. Day 01: Departure to Queen Elizabeth National Park [Approximately 5 hour drive]

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel in Kampala, you are to be picked by our Uganda safaris guide and board off to Queen Elizabeth via the beautiful Kampala- Fort Portal route spread with evergreen rolling tea estates. Continue with the drive to the park and check-in at your accommodation where dinner and overnight will be, you will have a lunch break in Fort Portal town.

Meal Plan: Half Board [HB]. Overnight: Kyambura Gorge lodge (Premium) or Elephant Plains lodge (Luxury) or Buffalo Safari lodge (Midrange) or Simba Safari Camp (Basic).

Day 02: Game drive and launch cruise

Today after breakfast, hit the savannas to lookout for mammals and other species frequenting the plains. Circuits through Kasenyi reward you with Buffalo herds, Warthogs, African Elephants, and Antelopes among others. These may be opportune moments to spot Lions plan their morning hunt, as the early grazers come to feed on the fresh grass. After lunch, head for a boat cruise along the famous Kazinga channel jam-packed with wildlife especially Hippopotamus. Expect to see wildlife along the shores.

Day 03: Ishasha Game drive and transfer to Bwindi National Park [Approx. 3hours]

After breakfast, transfer to the remote but famous Ishasha sector in the south of the park known for its resident tree climbing Lions where you will have a game drive for a chance to see the kings of the savanna plains lying in tree branches keeping a close watch on their prey or as they plan their hunt on the ground. Later continue with the drive to Bwindi onward to the lodge, check-in and dinner will be here.

Day 04: Gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Start your day with an early breakfast at the lodge, transfer with packed lunch boxes to the registration area, where you receive briefing from the gorilla habituation guide then, enter the forested depths of Bwindi and start off your gorilla habituation experience. The forest is home to a number of species like birds, mammals and other primates that you may encounter. The gorilla habituation experience lasts the entire day and once you find the gorillas, you will have about 4 hours in their presence. After the activity, retreat to the start point and drive off back to the lodge.

Day 05: Transfer back to Kampala/ Entebbe airport [Approx. 8hours drive]

Checkout after breakfast and leave early for Kampala. You will break-off at Igongo Country hotel for lunch and a cultural tour at Igongo museum. You will sign off your gorilla habituation experience and game Uganda safari with a stop at the Equator for a simple water tryout, some Kodak moments and souvenir shopping. Continue with the journey, on arrival, you will either be dropped at the hotel or be transferred to the airport for your flight back home. Meal Plan: Breakfast and Lunch. End of Safari
