Note: Your birdwatching Uganda tour in Mabamba wetand and Lake Mburo starts with your day of arrival, you will be met and received by our guide at Entebbe International Airport and be transferred to your overnight accommodation in Entebbe. Day 01: Birding in Mabamba and transfer to Mburo [Approximately 4hours drive]    

Have an early breakfast at your o/n accommodation, and start off this birdwatching Uganda safari with an early morning birding session at Mabamba wetland for the best opportunities to spot the Shoebill Stork hunting in the Marsh. You will spot other species such as; African Jacana, Pied Kingfisher, Purple Heron, Pallid Harrier, Papyrus Gonolek and many more. Bird watching here is done on a canoe paddled by a local skipper. In the afternoon, you will transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and en-route you have a lunch break and stop at the Equator for a simple tour and snapshots. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.

Day 02: Birdwatching tour in Lake Mburo National Park on a boat cruise and drive

Start off with an early breakfast, leave the lodge for an early bird watching Uganda experience on the idyllic waters of Lake Mburo. The 2-3 hours voyage will reward you with sightings of variety of water birds like the African Fish Eagle, Fin Foot, Water Cormorants, Pelicans and if lucky the rare Shoebill among others. You will see variety of wildlife along the shores like Hippopotamuses and Crocodiles.

After lunch, go for a late afternoon birdwatching session where you will also see some game including Impalas, Zebras, Klip Springer and many more. Retire for the night at your lodge. Meal Plan: Full Board [FB].

Day 03: Early birding and transfer back to Kampala [Approx. 5hours drive]

An early start with breakfast and sign off this bird-watching Uganda safari in Lake Mburo national park with an early birding session on a nature walk, this presents you chance to add more birds on your safari checklist. Later leave the park and transfer back to Kampala, drop-off will be at the airport for your flight back home or at the hotel. Lunch will be enroute. Meal Plan: Breakfast & Lunch. End of Safari
