Queen Elizabeth is Uganda’s second largest National Park. It is a classic safari destination hosting over 95mammal species and over 600 bird species. It is a medley of wonders with sparkling craters and idyllic lakes, the only park in the country crossed by the Equator. Its diverse eco-system extends to take in the forested wilds of Kyambura Wildlife Reserve and Kalizu Forest known for their resident Chimpanzees as well as Kigezi Reserve. On this safari, you will take part in a luxurious safari experience along the Kazinga channel on a launch trip, and safari game drive through the golden savannas. Will you see the tree climbing lions of the remote but famous Ishasha sector?
Note: On your day of arrival, you will be met and received by our guide at Entebbe International Airport and be transferred to your overnight accommodation in Kampala. Day 01: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After an early breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth through Masaka -Mbarara route. You will have an en-route stop at the Equator; line 00 latitude for a simple water tryout, souvenir shopping and photographic experience at this prime point. Continue with the drive arriving the park in the afternoon, proceed to your accommodation for check-in and lunch, in the evening go for a game drive through the striking Savanna plains. Expect to see the African Elephants, Cape Buffalos and many others. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner. Overnight: Mweya Safari lodge [luxury] or Parkview lodge [midrange] or Simba Safari Camp [basic].
Day 02: Game drive and launch trip.
Today, you hit the Savanna plains to lookout for the early grazers. The morning presents you the best safari moments to spot a number of wildlife that frequents the fresh grasses. Available are the Uganda Kobs, African Elephants, Warthogs, and Olive Baboons, elusive Lions as well as the odd Leopard as they stalk their prey. In the afternoon after lunch, you go for a launch trip for a fascinating experience along the famous Kazinga channel. This is one of the most relaxing way to enjoy an African safari, cruise past the enormous Hippo schools, you will spot the wildlife along the shores that come to drink and cool off from the hot sun. After the activity, return to the lodge where you will have dinner and overnight. Meal Plan: Full Board.
Day 03: Chimpanzee tracking and travel back to Kampala/Entebbe.
Start at an early breakfast and head to Kalinzu Forest to track the delightful Chimpanzees. The activity leads you through the forested wilds rewarding you with other forest varieties like birds and other primates. After the activity, embark on a drive back to Kampala and then be transferred to the airport or at the hotel:
