On this tour, you visit Uganda’s premier safari destinations on an epic safari experience. This tour will let you through the Western circuit to the best game destinations in the Pearl of Africa. You will visit Murchison Falls National Park known for its dramatic water falls where the Nile forces itself through a 7m gorge and finally falling off 40m into the “Devil’s Cauldron”, its Northern bank is one of the best game track with a rich blend of Savannas characterized by Borassus palms, Acacia trees and Riverine woodland hosting wildlife in harmony. You also visit Queen Elizabeth known for the tree climbing Lions and Hippo population, along the famous Kazinga channel as well as visiting Lake Mburo known for its rich blend of habitats.


Note: On your day of arrival, you will be met and received by our guide at Entebbe International Airport and be transferred to your overnight accommodation in Kampala. A complementary city tour can be done depending on your time of arrival and how you may be feeling. O/N: Sheraton Hotel /Cassia lodge/ Speke Hotel; Bed & Breakfast.

Day 01: Departure to Murchison Falls National Park

Leave for Murchison Falls National Park after having breakfast at the hotel in Kampala, on a scenic drive through the pleasant Savannas of Nakasongola-Luweero triangle. Detour to the wilds of Ziwa where you will track the white Rhinos; a member of Africa’s Big Five. The activity is done on foot with a ranger guide, expect to come across a number of other mammals and wildlife, you have lunch here or at the hotel in Masindi. Continue to the park on a drive all the way to the Northern Bank heading to your booked accommodation.

Meal Plan: Half Board, Overnight: Paraa Safari lodge (luxury) or Pakuba Safari lodge (midrange) or Heritage Safari lodge (basic). 

Day 02: Launch trip, hike top of the falls and do a Game drive

Proceed to Paraa after having breakfast; in the morning you start with a launch cruise along the Nile, setting from Paraa a hub for park activities to the bottom of the exciting falls. The banks are dotted with wildlife including mammals, reptiles like the Nile crocodile as well as birds. From the boat trip, you will hike to the top of the exploding falls and this is the highlight of the visit to the park. After lunch, go for a game drive through the Northern game track looking out for Rothschild’s Giraffes, Cape Buffalos, Jackson’s Hartebeests and many more.

Meal Plan: Full Board [FB] Overnight: Paraa Safari lodge (luxury) or Pakuba Safari lodge (midrange) or Heritage Safari lodge (basic).

Day 03: Game drive and Transfer to Fort Portal

Go for a morning game drive after taking breakfast, keep your eyes open for more game especially the morning grazers. After the game drive, leave the park heading South wards to Fort Portal town. You will have a lunch break in Hoima and proceed later with the journey arriving in the evening, onward to the hotel. Meal Arrangement: Full Board [FB]; Overnight: Mountains of the Moon Hotel or Kaalya Courts.

Day 04: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth, do an evening Game drive

Have a hearty breakfast at the hotel and leave Fort Portal for Queen Elizabeth, this drive rewards you with beautiful backdrop of the majestic Rwenzori Mountains; head to the lodge on arrival and check-in, have lunch here and prepare for an evening game drive. Go for a late afternoon safari drive around the Mweya Peninsular, an area jam-packed with mammals and birds. Meal Plan: Full Board [FB]. Overnight: Mweya Safari lodge (luxury) or Marafiki Safari lodge (medium range) or Simba Safari camp (basic).

Day 05: Game drive and launch trip

Have breakfast early enough and transfer to Kasenyi plains for a stunning safari drive through the pleasant savanna plains. The plains are usually spread with huge herds of Uganda Kobs, other mammals like Warthogs, the African Elephants among others. Take lunch and in the late afternoon hours go for a relaxing way to enjoy an African safari, on a launch cruise along the Kazinga channel, this is an interesting way to see wildlife lingering on the shores. The channel is known for its mass population of Hippopotamus and many others that come to cool off from the hot afternoons, you will see birds such as Elegant Fish Eagles and many others. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Meal Plan: Full Board [FB].

Day 06: Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Lake Mburo.

Start with an early breakfast and head to Kalinzu Forest to track Chimpanzees. The forest rewards you with a number of forest creatures such as birds and primates. After about 2 hours of activity, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, with an en-route break for lunch. Head to the lodge, check-in and it’s here you have dinner and overnight.

Meal Plan: Full Board: Overnight: Mihingo Safari lodge (luxury) or Arcadia lodge (midrange) or Eagle’s nest (basic).

Day 07: Safari drive and boat trip.

Begin with an early breakfast, transfer for a morning game drive through the Eastern hinterland to spot the savanna variety. The park is known for hosting huge numbers of Zebras and Impalas, lookout for the elusive Klip Springer, Buffalos among others and if lucky the new members- the Rothschild’s Giraffes. Have lunch in the afternoon and later go for a boat cruise and explore the beauty of the tranquil Lake Mburo. Expect to see Crocodiles and Hippopotamus on the voyage as well as water birds like Pelicans, Cormorants, Fish Eagle and Herons.

Meal Plan: Full Board; Overnight: Mihingo Safari lodge (luxury) or Arcadia lodge (midrange) or Eagle’s Nest (basic).

Day 08: Nature walk and Transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe

Have a hearty breakfast at the lodge and go for a morning guided walk around Rwonyo, leading you to the salt licks that are frequented by wildlife. You then return to the lodge, checkout and embark on the journey back to Kampala. En-route you stop for lunch and at the equator for a water try out, photographs and souvenir shopping. Continue with the drive arriving in the evening and be transferred to the airport for your flight or be dropped off at the hotel.
