Prohibited Items
Navigating airport security begins long before you reach the checkpoint. When preparing for your flight, it’s crucial to know which items are prohibited in both carry-on and checked luggage. Airlines and aviation authorities strictly enforce these rules to ensure the safety and security of all passengers on board. Being aware of them in advance saves time at security checkpoints and prevents the confiscation of cherished
belongings.
Therefore, as you pack your carry-on bags, avoid sharp objects such as scissors, knives, and razor blades. These are not allowed. Liquids, gels, and aerosols must follow the 100ml rule and be packed in a transparent, resealable plastic bag. Flammable items, fireworks, and toxic substances are strictly forbidden. Weapons, replica weapons, and sporting equipment that could be used as weapons (such as bats or sticks) are also
prohibited.
In checked baggage, you should avoid packing valuables, electronics, or fragile items. Certain dangerous goods, such as explosives, flammable liquids, or corrosive substances, are not allowed in any luggage. Some items, such as lithium batteries or power banks, must be carried in hand luggage rather than checked baggage.
If you’re planning your travels and you’re unsure about any items, please confirm with us or always check your airline’s website for a full list of prohibited items, as rules can vary slightly by country and carrier. Packing carefully ensures a smoother airport experience and helps you avoid unnecessary delays or penalties.
